Soft biological tissue caracterisation to medical device design

Biomechanics is a wide and multidisciplinary research area. The talk will be focused on soft biological tissue caracterisation like temporomandibular joint disc, interevertebral disc or skin. Current modellings combining poro-mechanics and biology are leading to better understand and predict tissues behaviour. Besides, it allows reaching multiscale interaction from a single cell to the tissue scale thanks to mechanotransduction. Eventually, it enhances substitutes design like collagen foams or membranes for clinical applications.
